Dealing With Break Up – How to Stop Moping and Start Living Again

Dealing with break up can send you into a tailspin.

Break ups cause severe emotional pain. Often times, this pain is even worse than physical pain. Physical pain hurts, but you usually have a pretty good idea of when it’s going to end. With emotional pain it can feel like it will go on forever.

This is especially true if the break up was not mutual, or if you want your ex back.

No moping allowed.

It’s a pretty natural reaction when you are dealing with a break up to want to put your head in the sand like an ostrich, or to pull the bed covers over your head and never come out.

While it’s okay to mope for awhile, this is not a good long-term strategy. So if it’s been a couple of days, then you need to stop moping and start living. I realize that this is easier said than done, so I’ll give you some strategies.

Start living again.

The first thing I want to do is go take a long hot shower. This will make you feel worlds better nearly immediately. Next, you need to shave your face (if you’re a guy), or put on makeup and do your hair (if you’re a girl).

The next thing you should do is pick up the phone and call a friend and arrange to get out of the house. Do something you enjoy… go see an action movie, go out to your favorite restaurant, go bowling… just get out and have some fun.

If you take steps to resume your regular life you will start to feel better. You’ll be able to deal with break up, and start living your life again. I guarantee it.
